Who is responsible Teo Bridoux, trading as Engagement Desk, an individual seller, not a company. Email: engagementdesk.support@gmail.com. Our full postal address is on the home page of this site. This page says what happens to personal data on this site, when you buy anything we sell, and when you write to us. What you buy collects nothing Everything we sell is a file you download and use on your own computer. Nothing we sell has an account, contacts a server, sends telemetry, or contains third-party code. We never see what you do with it. If we ever sell something that does any of those things, this page will say so before we sell it. Engagement Desk, as one example, is a folder of markdown files: we never see your clients, your engagements or your rates. When you read these pages These pages are static. We set no cookies, run no analytics, and load no scripts, fonts or images from anywhere else. Cloudflare, Inc. hosts them and, like any web host, receives the technical information that every web request carries, including your IP address. It does that on our instructions, as our processor under its Data Processing Addendum at https://www.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-dpa/ . That addendum includes the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the European Economic Area, and you can read it in full at that address. We do not use that information to identify you, and we take no visitor report from it. You do not have to give us anything to read this site. When you buy Gumroad is the merchant of record. It takes the payment and holds your purchase and payment data under its own terms and privacy policy, as a controller in its own right. We never see your card. Where Gumroad makes your email address available to us as the seller, we use it only to deliver what you bought and to answer support you started. We do not sell it, we do not share it with anyone else, and we do not send marketing. Our legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of your contract. We keep it for as long as we may need it to answer a question about your purchase, and for as long as Belgian tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of a sale. When you write to us Our support mailbox is engagementdesk.support@gmail.com. What you send — your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to write — is held there, and two automated things happen to it. An assistant working for us reads it so that a reply can be drafted. To do that, the text of your message is sent to an artificial-intelligence service provided by Anthropic, which processes it on servers in the United States. Anthropic handles it under its own terms and privacy policy at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy rather than under a separate agreement with us, and the safeguards that policy describes for moving data out of Europe are Anthropic's own. Its terms allow it to use what it processes to train its own models. They also let it keep material that its own safety systems flag for review, and use that material to train those systems. Replies are composed by an automated assistant working for us. We do not use your message to train any model of ours. A small application called scout-support-mail then sends the reply. Its only permission on the mailbox is to send. It cannot read, search or delete mail, in our mailbox or in anyone else's. Google LLC provides the mailbox itself. It is an ordinary Gmail account, so Google handles that mail under its own terms and privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy rather than under a separate agreement with us, and it is stored on servers outside the European Economic Area. Our legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where you are writing about a purchase or about to make one, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us. You decide what to put in the message; we need enough to work out who you are and what you are asking, and without that we cannot answer you. We keep support correspondence for as long as it is useful for dealing with your question and anything that follows from it, and for as long as we might need it if there were later a dispute about your purchase. We do not use it for anything else. The application, and Google data The application named on our Google sign-in screen is scout-support-mail. The only Google account it touches is our own support mailbox, and its only permission is to send mail from it. It does not read, store or share the contents of any Gmail account. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell or pass on anything it touches, and we do not use it to train a model. If it ever needed to do anything else, this page would say so before it did. If you use the withdrawal form The withdrawal form linked from your purchase carries its own privacy notice on the page itself, and that notice, not this one, governs it. In short: it asks for three things, because Belgian law says the form must let you supply them; and we keep your declaration and its acknowledgement for 24 months from the day you submit it, and then delete them. Your rights You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, to object to it, or to have it sent to you in a portable form. Email engagementdesk.support@gmail.com and we will answer. One honest limit: where we keep a record to comply with a legal duty, or because we may need it to answer a dispute, we may not be able to delete it when you ask — if that is the case we will tell you so, and tell you when it goes. You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Belgium that is the Autorité de protection des données (autoriteprotectiondonnees.be); you can also go to the authority where you live. Nothing about you is decided by a machine on its own. Replies are drafted automatically, but no automated process makes a decision about you: a refund inside the refund period is given on request, with no judgement made about you.
